Measurement Guide

Please use the diagram below as a visual reference when taking your measurements. For the best fit, have a friend or tailor assist you.

Shirt

  1. Collar. Measure around the base of your neck, where your collar naturally sits. Keep one finger between the tape and your neck for comfort.
  2. Shoulder. Measure the straight distance across the back from the tip of one shoulder bone to the tip of the other.
  3. Shirt Length. Measure from the top of the shoulder (near the neck seam) straight down the front to the desired hem length of the shirt.
  4. Chest. Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape measure snug under the arms and level across your back.
  5. Waist. Measure around your natural waistline (usually the narrowest part of the torso), just above the navel.
  6. Hips. Measure around the fullest part of your hips or seat, ensuring the tape measure is level.
  7. Sleeve Length. Measure from the tip of your shoulder bone down the outside of your arm to your wrist bone.
  8. Bicep. Measure around the fullest part of your bicep, keeping your arm relaxed.
  9. Wrist. Measure around your wrist bone, allowing a small amount of slack for comfort.
  10. Elbow. Measure the full circumference around your elbow joint. This measurement determines the fit and mobility of the lower sleeve.
  11. Armhole. Measure the full circumference around the top of your shoulder where the sleeve joins the shirt, passing the tape measure through your armpit.

Jacket

  1. Chest. Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape measure snug under the arms and level across your back.
  2. Waist. Measure around your natural waistline (usually the narrowest part of the torso), just above the navel.
  3. Hips. Measure around the fullest part of your hips or seat, ensuring the tape measure is level.
  4. Jacket Length Front. Measure from the base of the collar (center-back of the neck) down the front to the desired hem length.
  5. Shoulder. Measure the straight distance across the back from the tip of one shoulder bone to the tip of the other.
  6. Sleeve Length (Left Arm). Measure from the tip of the left shoulder bone down the arm to the desired cuff length (usually to the wrist bone).
  7. Sleeve Length (Right Arm). Measure from the tip of the right shoulder bone down the arm to the desired cuff length, matching the right sleeve length.
  8. Biceps: Measure around the fullest part of your bicep, with your arm relaxed. This is measured with the sleeve laid flat on the jacket.
  9. Jacket Length Back: Measure from the base of the collar (center-back of the neck) straight down the spine to the bottom edge of the jacket hem.

Trouser

  1. Waist. Measure around your natural waistline, where you typically wear your trousers. Keep the tape comfortably snug.
  2. Hips. Measure around the fullest part of your hips or seat, ensuring the tape measure is level.
  3. Thigh. Measure around the widest part of one thigh, just below the crotch.
  4. Length. Measure from the top of the waistband down the outside seam of the leg to the desired hem length.
  5. Cuff. Measure the width of the trouser opening at the bottom of the leg.
  6. U (Crotch). Measure from the top of the waistband (front), through the crotch, and up to the top of the waistband (back).
  7. Knee: Measure around the full circumference of your knee at the desired level for the knee point (usually about 15-16 inches down from the crotch).
  8. Inseam: Measure from the point where the crotch seams meet straight down the inner leg to the desired hem length.
  9. Trouser Fly: Measure from the top of the waistband at the center front down to the bottom of the fly closure (zipper or buttons).

Vest

  1. Front Length: Measure from the top of the shoulder (next to the neck base) straight down the front to the bottom point of the vest hem.
  2. Back Length: Measure from the base of the collar (center-back of the neck) straight down the back to the bottom point of the vest hem.
