Our Tailoring Service Policies

Welcome to Willem H Atelier. We're committed to providing a seamless tailoring experience. Here are our key policies to ensure a smooth process from start to finish.

1. Appointments & Booking

• Advance Booking: All appointments must be booked online at least two days in advance.
• Booking Fee: A $30 booking fee is required at the time of booking. This deposit secures your appointment and is credited toward your final bill.
• Punctuality Guarantee: If your tailor is more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, your $30 booking fee will be refunded.
• Rescheduling: Please provide at least 24 hours' notice.
• Cancellations & No-Shows: Canceling with less than 6 hours' notice or failing to show up will result in the forfeiture of your booking fee, and you will need to pay a new one to book again.
• Location: Wille mH Atelier mobile tailoring service is only available within the GTA (Great Toronto Area).

2. Service & Payment

• In-Person Consultation: Your tailor will meet with you to take your measurements.
• Pricing: The charge will be the product price only, as the mobile tailoring service fee is covered by your booking fee.
• Measurement Storage: We securely keep a record of your measurements on file to make future orders easier and more efficient.

3. Delivery & Timeline

• Delivery: Your order will be delivered approximately 8 weeks from the date your order is placed.

4. Fit Guarantee

Our Commitment: We thoroughly inspect each garment before shipping to ensure it matches your measurements and style specifications.

• Alteration Request: If your garment does not fit as expected, you must contact us within 10 days of receipt.
• Resolution: You will need to provide a brief description of the issue, and we will handle the alterations for you to achieve your desired fit.
• Final Note: Please be aware that we do not provide refunds on garments.

Our Products Are Custom-Made

All products offered by Willem H Atelier are custom-made and tailor-fit to your unique specifications, measurements, and design choices (e.g., fabric, color, style). Production of your custom item begins shortly after the order is confirmed.

1. Order Cancellation Policy

You have a brief window to cancel your order before the custom tailoring process is locked in:

• 24-Hour Cancellation Window: You may request to cancel your order within 24 hours of the time of purchase and payment.
  
• How to Cancel: To cancel, you must immediately contact us via [Insert Email Address or Contact Method] and clearly state your Order Number and request for cancellation.
  
• Refund for Cancellation: If your order is successfully canceled within the 24-hour window, a full refund will be processed back to the original method of payment.
  
• Cancellations After 24 Hours: Orders cannot be canceled after the initial 24-hour period. Once this window has passed, your order is locked in, and the terms of Section 3 (No Refunds) apply.
  

2. Our Fit Guarantee & Returns Policy

We want you to be perfectly happy with your garment. Every item is carefully inspected to ensure it meets your specific measurements and style specifications before it ships.

If you find that your garment does not match the measurements or style specifications requested, please contact us within 10 days of receiving your order.

Alteration Fee Structure:

We offer different alteration services depending on the original measurement source:

The cost of your alteration depends on the method used to obtain your original measurements:

• Willem H Atelier Mobile Tailor (Measurements taken by our staff):Cost: We offer a Free One-Time Alteration for requests submitted within 3 months of delivery.
• Customer Self-Measurement (Measurements provided by the customer):Cost: A $20 Alteration Fee will apply for requests submitted within 3 months of delivery.
• Responsibility for Sizing: We are not responsible for sizing issues resulting from incorrect self-measurements provided by the customer.
• Post-Guarantee Alterations: After the initial 3-month period, all alterations are subject to our standard pricing.

Resolution Process

To begin an alteration request, please follow these steps:

1. Provide a brief description of the issue.
2. Include supporting photographs or specific measurements highlighting the concern.
3. We will then provide you with clear instructions for sending the item back to us for alteration or correction.

Note on "Returns": In this context, "Returns" refers to sending the item back to us solely for alteration or correction in accordance with this policy.

Oversized and Overtall Charge Policy

Due to the fundamental principles of bespoke and custom tailoring, garments requiring substantially more fabric or specialized pattern adjustments will incur a surcharge. This fee ensures the integrity of the garment's design and covers the increased material and labor costs associated with exceptional sizing. Any applicable surcharge will be clearly noted on the final order and invoice upon measurement.

The Oversized Charge is applied when the largest critical circumference measurement of the client (Hips, Waist, or Chest) exceeds 50 inches. This charge is tiered based on the maximum dimension:

• 10% of the garment price for measurements between 50 and 54 inches
• 15% for measurements between 55 and 59 inches
• 20% for 60 inches and above

The Overtall Charge applies to clients whose height is taller than 6 foot 4 inches (6’4”), necessitating significant additional length and specialized pattern work for the torso, jacket, or trousers. This charge is a flat 10% of the garment price. These fees reflect the investment in additional high-quality fabric and the specialized construction required to maintain the garment’s perfect fit and drape.

This policy governs the production, processing, and delivery of all custom-made orders placed with Willem H Atelier.

1. Production & Shipping Timeline

All items from Willem H Atelier are custom-made upon order, requiring a dedicated production time before shipping.

• Production Time: Our standard production time is 8 weeks. This duration is required for careful fabric sourcing, pattern drafting, tailoring, and quality assurance. This period begins the day after your order is confirmed (24 hours after payment).
  
• Processing Time: Once production is complete, we require an additional 1–3 business days to package your finished garment and prepare it for dispatch.
  
• Shipping/Transit Time: This is the time the package spends in transit after we hand it off to the carrier. This time is added to the total production and processing time.
  

Total Estimated Time to Receive Your Order: Please anticipate approximately 8 weeks from the time you place your order, plus the carrier transit time to your specific location.

Note: The 8-week production time is an estimate. We will notify you immediately by email if your order is expected to be significantly delayed.

2. Fully Inclusive Delivery (Delivered Duty Paid)

Willem H Atelier is pleased to offer a fully inclusive delivery service, meaning the price you see at checkout is the final price you pay, with no unexpected fees upon delivery.

• Shipping Fee: The cost of shipping your garment to the provided address is covered by Willem H Atelier (Free Shipping).
  
• Customs, Duties, and Taxes: Willem H Atelier will pay for all import duties, customs fees, associated with your order. You will not be charged any additional customs or duty fees (exclude tax) upon delivery.
  
• Delivery Estimates:
  
  Domestic Shipping (Canada): Standard delivery is estimated to take 3–7 business days after dispatch.
  
  International Shipping (Worldwide): Standard delivery is estimated to take 7–14 business days after dispatch.
  

3. Order Tracking, Loss, and Damage

• Tracking Confirmation: You will receive a separate Shipment Confirmation Email once your order has been dispatched, containing your tracking number and a link to track your package.
  
• Loss or Damage in Transit: Willem H Atelier is not responsible for any products lost or damaged during shipping. Once your order is handed over to the carrier, the risk of loss and title for all merchandise passes to you.
  
  If you receive a damaged item, please contact the shipping carrier immediately to file a claim. You must also inform us within 48 hours of receipt.
  
• Incorrect Shipping Address: The customer is responsible for ensuring the correct and complete shipping address is provided at the time of purchase. If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect or undeliverable address provided by the customer, the customer will be responsible for the cost to re-ship the item.
